BANDUNG, KOMPAS.com ®Chairman of the Indonesian
National Commission for Child Protection (KPAI) said Arist Merdeka Sirait, West
Java is the third province with the number of cases of child abuse highest in
Indonesia.
“Violence against children
in West Java is a sequence of three numbers with the number of cases. The first
is Jakarta and Makassar is ranked number two”, said Arist in Padalarang, West
Bandung regency, West Java, on Wednesday (04/12/2013).
Furthermore Arist added, the total amount of
violence against children in all provinces in Indonesia reached 21 million
cases reported by the end of 2013. If the total violence against children in
West Java reached 38 percent, meaning that, as many as 6.51 million cases occurred
in West Java. “In Jakarta, it reaches 48 percent”, he explained.
Meanwhile, KPAI recorded victims of violence
against the youngest was 9 months old. While most adults reach the age of 15
years. Of all cases of child abuse that exist, Arist said, as much as 62
percent in the form of sexual violence is rarely done outside of common sense.
“Sexual crimes it has become an extraordinary
threat. Inevitably we have to fight”, he said.

Indeed in Indonesia is
becoming increasingly worse, acts of violence against children more and more,
especially in the city of Jakarta. Supposedly violence against children was
becoming increasingly little or not at all. Child abuse against mentally not
very good because the child will feel threatened his life. For parents who do
violence to the child should think that it would make the child be afraid to
parents, should have a gentle
nature, compassion, love and attention to children who have to be done by the
parents not the sexual violence.
Sexual violence judging

KPAI should act decisively to parents so that acts of violence and sexual
violence on the wane and protect children with strict laws due to the
increasing number of acts of violence will make the young generation of
Indonesia destroyed.
